Wyndham got three bus route upgrades in September 2026. Campaigners welcomed them and asked for more. Point Cook and parts of Wyndham still have infrequent services.

The outline is the real City of Wyndham boundary, from Wyndham City Council’s own open data, licensed CC BY 3.0 AU. There is no background map: loading one would send your address and the area you are looking at to another company, from a page about your political views. We do not yet have per-suburb boundaries under a licence that lets us publish them, so the suburb figures live in the List view. We would rather show you a map that is true than one with invented borders.
The ask
Tell your state candidate which bus route you would use if it ran every 20 minutes.
Recording your view is not open yet, because doing so means collecting a political opinion and we are still settling the legal footing for that. Here is what that means and when it opens. In the meantime, contacting your own representative carries more weight than a tally anyway.
What is going on
In September 2026 three Wyndham routes improved: route 182 on Davis Road went to every 20 minutes all week with a direct connection to the new West Tarneit station, a new route 186 linked West Tarneit to Tarneit station via North Tarneit every 20 minutes, and route 194 was extended over the Ison Road Bridge.
Sustainable Cities welcomed the upgrades and immediately asked for more, naming Point Cook and Melton as still underserved. Their framing is that the west needs a frequent network rather than a route at a time. In June 2026 western suburbs residents rallied on the steps of Parliament House alongside the Better Buses campaign and the Mt Atkinson Advocacy Forum.
The $100 million in the 2026-27 Budget was a statewide allocation. Wyndham's share has not been published.
How it got here
Western suburbs residents rally at Parliament House for faster delivery of transport projects.
